“It wasn’t my choice to write this story…it was my responsibility.” ~ Rhonda Fink-Whitman is a veteran TV and radio personality as well as an award-winning screenwriter, longtime Jewish educator and the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. 94 Maidens is her first novel.
Rhonda is the director, producer, and host of The Mandate Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V4bmm6yJMw which, with a gubernatorial signature on June 26, 2014, historically changed the landscape of education in her home state of Pennsylvania by convincing PA legislators to enact a law requiring Holocaust and
Genocide education in all public, charter, and cyber schools. Rhonda’s video and advocacy started a national movement pushing for Holocaust and Genocide education and she now works with advocates and legislators in other states and Congressmen in Washington, D.C. to help enact similar laws around the country. Since Rhonda’s video went viral, and with her guidance, Michigan and Rhode Island have also mandated Holocaust and Genocide education. In 2015, Rhonda received both Congressional and State recognition for her work and her commitment to Holocaust education. She lives in a suburb of Philadelphia with her husband, two children, and two cats. In their free time, for which they thank our troops, Rhonda and her family volunteer for the USO.

Jan – Borrowed this from a friend, then ordered one to keep for myself. I could not put the book down. Gripping, hearstopping, tragic accounting of life and death under the Nazis. The randomness of who survived and who was slated for extermination gives the reader much to contemplate. One of the best recent books on the Holocaust. A must read and a must share book.
S. Morton – Finished 94 Maidens this morning; GREAT book!
B. Grossman – Rhonda, I have already read 100 pages between the train and
lunch and love it. I am very wrapped up into the characters. I can’t wait to

made me sad, mad and happy at the same time. I am going to read it again.
L. Moore – Sitting here in Panera reading the book. Had to take a break for fear I would just start bawling in the restaurant. These rough paper napkins do not make good tissues to wipe away tears!
B. Dratch – Just finished
your book. Spent the last two days
reading non stop. What a sad, inspiring,
powerful story. I can’t wait to hear you
speak about it. Thank you for sharing or
should I say. “Danke!!”

M. Machles – Speaking as a Jewish educator, Rhonda has proven herself to be a valuable author and teacher. In 94 Maidens, as we make this journey with “Morah”
Rhonda to unravel the details of her family’s past, we are taught
history and Jewish values as she generously and lovingly shares her
family’s difficult journey to freedom. It is clear Rhonda is a devoted
daughter, a superior educator, and a true friend to our Jewish culture.
S. & D. Greenbaum – BRAVO! Just finished your wonderful book. It was particularly interesting because we have been to so many places that you mention. You made the characters come alive and it was with deep sadness that we read the horrific stories – so many that we have heard through the years. YOU ARE DOING HISTORY A GREAT SERVICE BY MAKING SURE THESE STORIES ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN. Thank you!
